Users experienced intermittent access to websites under the ru domain zone hosted in Russia. The disruption was linked to data from the Downradar service and reported by RIA News.
The outage began around 19:30 Moscow time. Reports came from residents in Moscow and the Moscow region, as well as from people in St. Petersburg, the Sverdlovsk region, the Novosibirsk region, and Tatarstan.
Earlier, the largest Russian mobile operators had indicated a large scale failure affecting several networks and services.
Additionally, it was stated that the Gosuslugi portal app stopped opening on iOS devices. When launching the app on iOS, users saw a server error or a notice about ongoing maintenance. The application continued to work on Android devices, though users sometimes encountered the message Technical work in progress and were advised to try again later. At the time of writing, the Gosuslugi website itself was functioning normally.
Earlier, the Ukrainian Monobank had halted transactions for a period of time.
