Odnoklassniki has opened applications for the OK Media Challenge, a competition aimed at regional media teams. The event is designed to raise the standard of publications within OK’s broadcast groups and to showcase practical methods for leveraging the platform’s promotional tools. By completing the contest, participating media can attract new subscribers and cultivate content with strong viral potential.
Winners will receive promotional codes totaling 50,000, 30,000, and 15,000 rubles for advertising on the social network. In addition, winners will gain ongoing support and brandedOK merchandise from the platform for a full year.
The challenge runs from August 28 to September 24 and features a structured training program that blends theoretical learning with real-world practice. Each Monday, participants will get an email containing a video tutorial and a thorough breakdown of the week’s tasks. Media taking part will learn best practices for posting frequency on OK, how to craft live broadcasts that grab attention, and how to effectively use the network’s promotional tools. There will also be an opportunity to kick off a dedicated project as part of the experience.
Representatives from all Russian regional media are invited to apply by August 24. On August 25, a jury will review submissions and finalize the list of media eligible to compete. The results of the qualifying round will be announced on the Odnoklassniki blog and in the OK for Media group. The winners will be unveiled on September 25.
Earlier, Odnoklassniki introduced the feature The window is open, a move greeted with enthusiasm by many users and partners. This adds to the platform’s ongoing efforts to enhance regional media collaboration and engagement across its services.
