Odnoklassniki is rolling out a comprehensive refresh of its news feed, according to the OK press service, the central hub of the social network. The update aims to streamline how users see and interact with content, reinforcing the platform’s emphasis on meaningful engagement rather than surface-level scrolling.

Almost nine out of ten daily users rely on the feed to discover posts, discussions, and media. The refreshed feed will appear across Android and iOS apps, as well as desktop and mobile web versions, with the rollout extending through the end of September. This ensures users in Canada and the United States can expect a consistent experience across devices as the update reaches each platform version.

Behind the overhaul, the feed’s algorithms and visual design are being adjusted to prioritize genuine consumption patterns. By elevating high-quality posts and active engagement, the changes are expected to boost reach for bloggers, creators, and media outlets that publish on OK. The update also trims away less relevant items, allowing the best content to rise higher in the stream and making the main OK screen feel more concise and focused.

In a user interface consolidation, Moments and Hobbies will merge into a single, prominent block above the stream. This new block will allow users to toggle between short-form disappearing visuals and hobby-based content, while the system will automatically select a default view based on individual preferences and past activity.

To further personalize discovery, the feed will showcase more recommended content and offer more opportunities to engage with it. A new Suggestions tab will sit beside the main Feed, highlighting posts from creators who are new to the user and may be of interest—an approach designed to expand the community and diversify the voices seen in a Canadian or American feed.

The sorting logic powering the feed will shift to surface fresher content and increasingly popular authors. This change is intended to deliver more frequent views, grow subscriptions, and deepen engagement for bloggers and media thriving on OK, particularly those who regularly publish high-quality material and respond to audience signals in real time.

Additionally, OK had previously announced the launch of a service focused on collecting and analyzing errors within applications, underscoring the platform’s commitment to stability, developer experience, and continuous improvement for its large user base in both North American markets and beyond. The combined emphasis on reliability and richer content signals a broader strategy to strengthen community interaction while maintaining strong performance across environments.
