On a Minnesota highway, a semi-trailer driver from Iowa was involved in a serious crash after becoming distracted by a smartphone chat about sex on an online dating platform. The incident led to the death of a child and injuries to several people, according to CBS News.

The crash happened as traffic ahead slowed for construction. The semi-truck slammed into a Chevrolet Suburban, setting off a chain of crashes. Two people inside the Suburban sustained life-threatening injuries, including a woman who was 31 weeks pregnant. An emergency cesarean section was performed, but the baby could not be saved.

All three children in the backseat were transported to the hospital. Other participants sustained injuries that were not life-threatening.

According to the indictment, the 52-year-old driver caused the crash while distracted by a sex chat on an online dating service.

The driver is expected to appear in court in December this year.

In a separate health note, there is a correction addressing the myth that condoms must be changed during sex.
