The Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation unveiled a comprehensive training initiative for cyber-athletes, designed to elevate competitive performance by aligning athletes with established sports and pedagogical standards. This initiative was announced in a report by Championship, which includes the official documentation outlining the program’s framework.
The curriculum goes beyond the history of electronic sports and general physical culture. It places a strong emphasis on personal hygiene and overall wellness, incorporating an initial training stage dedicated to hygiene and sanitation. Participants will receive guidance on body care, oral health, dental maintenance, and the upkeep of clothing and footwear. A dedicated phase to strengthen the physical foundation of e-athletes is also planned, ensuring a balanced approach to development.
The program also prioritizes the cultivation of patriotic values, a sense of duty, and responsibility toward the homeland, along with a deep respect for state symbols. To reach peak performance, e-sports athletes are expected to systematically advance across physical, technical, tactical, theoretical, and psychological dimensions, with structured progress tracking and regular evaluation to support continuous improvement.
