MIEM HSE and VK Launch Three Master’s Programs in AI and High-Load Computing

The Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics named after VK and AN Tikhonov, a part of the National Research University HSE, has opened admissions for three master’s programs offered by the Faculty of Engineering and Mathematics.

The new programs include “Applied AI Modeling,” “High-Load Systems and Code Optimization,” and “Hardware and Software Systems for Artificial Intelligence.”

Instruction and mentorship will be delivered by VK experts together with lecturers from the National Research University Higher School of Economics. The programs are designed for candidates who already have a foundational background in information technology.

VK representatives will also introduce undergraduate students to the company’s current tools, case studies, and technologies. Students will have opportunities to tackle real-world problems, gaining hands-on experience in designing, developing, and deploying in-demand IT products. Top performers may secure internships and potential job offers from VK.

Georgy Shchelkanov, the director responsible for university collaborations at VK, noted that the School of Engineering and Mathematics was established in 2022. Since then, students have worked on projects and built useful products and technological solutions during workshops, with several participants ultimately joining the VK team.

Shchelkanov explained that the collaboration with MIEM NRU HSE aims to translate this experience into joint master’s programs. The goal is to prepare in-demand specialists in artificial intelligence and high-load systems and to offer students a pathway to careers in these promising fields through VK Education.

The programs are conducted on a full-time basis in Moscow, spanning two years. They offer both budget and paid places. Applications are accepted until July 25 in the applicant’s personal account.

Earlier, it was noted that VK Portals connect over 19 million Russians.
