Administrative authorities and residents of the Lipetsk region will gain stronger defenses against cyber threats and fraud through a new information security cooperation agreement between Sberbank and the regional government. The press service of Sberbank confirmed the signing.

The document was signed by Sberbank Deputy Chairman Stanislav Kuznetsov and Lipetsk Region Governor Igor Artamonov, marking a joint commitment to raise cyber literacy across the population. The collaboration also covers facilitating investment projects through public-private partnerships and upgrading regional tourism infrastructure with Sber digital solutions.

Kuznetsov stated that the agreement will deepen Sberbank’s partnership with Lipetsk and boost the region’s resilience to cyber threats. He emphasized the need for government bodies, residents, and critical infrastructure to be protected with top personnel and advanced technologies, noting that risk levels are rising and only coordinated action can deliver real results. He also stressed that improving cyber literacy should be a primary focus, alongside technical measures, to maximize effectiveness.

All of these steps, Kuznetsov noted, will raise living standards by strengthening information security across the region.

Artamonov highlighted Lipetsk’s position as a leader in digital maturity, pointing to the transition of many services to electronic delivery. He explained that maintaining high cyber security is essential as electronic services expand. The governor added that the tools and developments provided by Sberbank will help shield residents from fraud, limit the damage from any cyber incidents affecting businesses and the public, and enhance the overall quality of digital services offered to the region. The partnership aims to ensure safer, smoother interactions for citizens and businesses alike, with a focus on practical outcomes and measurable improvements.
