At Sheremetyevo Airport, a reported incident centered on a Moscow resident who could not access a laptop brought to the security checkpoint. The equipment remained shut, and airport staff refused entry to the traveler until the device could be handled properly, according to sources cited by the Baza Telegram channel.
In the course of the inquiry, the person identified as Timofey from Moscow was requested to unlock the laptop. He was unable to satisfy the airport’s requirements because he lacked familiarity with the device. Airport representatives stated that Timofey failed to meet the procedural expectations and, citing order 227 from the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation on inspection procedures, did not permit him to proceed with the laptop at that moment.
After reviewing the order, Timofey learned that using the laptop might not be necessary. The regulation also suggests that the computer could be kept in storage at the airport and retrieved later, yet Sheremetyevo staff declined to accept the device for safekeeping.
Following this, Timofey contacted authorities, hoping for further guidance. The police reportedly could not provide a solution. A suggestion was made that airport personnel start the laptop themselves, but this proposal was not accepted. In the end, Timofey chose to depart the airport without the laptop, opting to leave the device in his car as a workaround.
