INWIN POC Self-Folding PC Case: Origami-Inspired Metal Build

INWIN has unveiled a groundbreaking concept for a PC case that can be self-folding from metal sheets. The innovation was highlighted by Technology News Area via Portal.

The POC arrives in a simple package showing the future case’s layout, with fold lines already pressed into the metal. The sheet thickness is 0.8 millimeters. The assembly method mirrors origami: buyers carefully fold each section along prescribed lines and then assemble the pieces into a single, rigid structure. The manufacturer asserts that the design can endure repeated bending and elongation cycles without suffering structural damage.

Ventilation on the POC is adjustable by design. Front-panel cutouts let users tweak the airflow by slightly bending the metal to create larger air channels, enabling more air to circulate as needed.

When fully assembled, the case measures 256 by 278 by 423 millimeters and weighs about 4 kilograms. It is offered in two color options: black-blue and yellow-green. The listed price for the POC is $95 USD, roughly equivalent to 7.7 thousand rubles.

Earlier discussions noted that socialbites.ca covered developments such as China’s creation of a 32-core Loongson 3D5000 processor, highlighting ongoing innovation in compact, high-performance computing hardware.
