The capital’s Lighting Technologies company showcased its development of lamps designed for immersive spaces in educational institutions at the GESS Dubai 2023 exhibition, a report published on the Moscow mayoral portal and the city government site. The event highlighted how schools could bring rooms to life with lighting innovations inspired by interactive learning needs.

The new lamps can alter tone, color and brightness to suit different teaching moments. They also come with built in speakers and scent diffusers, enabling educators to tailor the room environment to the subject. Depending on the lesson topic, the setup can shift color, sound and aromas to deepen engagement and comprehension in students.

As described by city officials, for instance, the theme of sailors’ voyages could be accompanied by the sound of waves, the cries of seagulls and the scent of sea air, creating a multisensory learning scene. The Moscow Government portal notes how immersive technologies like this product help teachers and students immerse themselves more fully in the material and build resilience in learners.

The product has undergone testing and is ready for mass production. Lighting Technologies expects to manufacture up to a thousand lamps annually, with room to increase output if there is strong consumer demand. Viktor Kotrenko, head of Lighting Technologies’ design institute division, stated that production levels could rise to meet market needs as required.

Earlier in Moscow, a new manufacturer of electronic circuit boards was observed, signaling ongoing growth in the city’s technology manufacturing sector.
