In 2022 Apple unveiled the iPhone 14 Pro armed with a 48 megapixel camera. While the default shooting mode on these devices is set to 12 MP, users can manually switch to a maximum resolution of 48 MP when they want higher detail. This capability was highlighted by the Telegram channel iGuides.

For the basic iPhone 15, achieving high resolution requires a quick detour into the Settings. Open Settings, tap Camera, and choose Formats. There, enable the option that manages resolution so users can push the sensor to its upper limits when needed.

On the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro models, including the Pro Max variants, photographers must turn on ProRAW and Resolution Control. After enabling these features, open the Default (Professional Shooting) menu and select the ProRAW or HEIF Max format to capture images at resolutions up to 48 MP.

Once the configuration is saved, check that the HEIF MAX or RAW MAX icon appears in the corner of the Camera app screen. For best results, shoot in 1x mode because switching to other modes can cause the camera to revert to the standard 12 MP resolution by default.

Recent pricing moves in Russia led to price reductions on all iPhone 15 models with one exception. This note highlights how regional pricing shifts can influence consumer choices across markets such as Canada and the United States, where users often weigh whether to invest in higher resolution capture features against other device capabilities.
