The first look at Honor 90 GT’s design surfaces online, with Gizmochina noting the leak
A preview image showcasing the upcoming cheap gaming flagship from Honor, the Honor 90 GT, has appeared online. The report comes from Gizmochina and other tech outlets that picked up the leak.
From the leaked render, the Honor 90 GT is shown with a purple chassis accentuated by gold stripes running across the back panel. The camera array is arranged in a single vertical module, housing three lenses and a flash, giving the device a distinctive, streamlined look.
Early rumors suggest the Honor 90 GT will be powered by the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, delivering top-tier performance for gaming and multitasking. An upgraded version, the Honor 90 GT+, is rumored to ship with as much as 24 GB of RAM, a first for the brand in its lineup. The main rear camera is expected to include an optical image stabilization system to help steady shots in mobile photography and video capture.
Certification by the Chinese regulator 3C has already confirmed that the Honor 90 GT supports 100 W fast charging, emphasizing quick top-ups for gaming sessions on the go. The advertized charging capability aligns with Huawei’s sub-brand’s focus on high-speed charges for premium devices.
Pricing for the Honor 90 GT remains unconfirmed. Based on the device’s rumored specifications and its positioning as a viable gaming option, it is anticipated to directly compete with the Redmi K70 in markets where both are available. In China, the Redmi K70 is reported to start at around 2,499 yuan, which roughly translates to 31,000 to 32,000 rubles, depending on exchange rates. If the 90 GT follows a similar market strategy, a starting price near 2,500 yuan would not be surprising.
Speculation places the official release of the Honor 90 GT toward the end of December, potentially alongside another gaming-focused model from Honor, the X50 GT. This timing would give fans a festive-season option for mobile gaming hardware as the year closes.
Recent industry chatter also mentions Apple considering a release that would resemble the Nothing Phone in design language, illustrating how brands across the market are continually exploring bold aesthetics in the flagship and gaming segments.
