WATT Studio Reimagines Hannah’s Day, a Rebranded Adventure Puzzle

Russian studio WATT Studio has quietly revived its adventure puzzle project starring a skateboarder named Hannah and has revealed a name change. What used to be known as One Day More will now be released under the title Hannah’s Day. The game is slated to arrive on Steam and VK Play in the summer of 2024, according to reports from the DTF portal.

The developers explain that work on the title began in the midst of the COVID-19 emergency. In 2021, the team captured attention by winning the Unreal Engine Development Competition, a milestone that helped them secure a Polish publishing partner. By 2022, the game had progressed to a state where a release seemed feasible, yet ongoing global challenges compelled the studio and its publisher to push the launch back once again.

As delays continued, the publisher proposed a temporary halt on the project. In response, WATT Studio pursued legal guidance and proceeded with re-registering the game under a fresh name. Studio representatives note that they are currently navigating a legal dispute and cannot share detailed comments while agreements remain in effect.

Until November 2022, the game was published by the Polish firm RedDeer.Games, a publisher known for supporting a broad range of indie titles. WATT Studio has stated its intention to disclose further information about the situation as soon as it does so without breaching existing contracts.

In Hannah’s Day, players will assume control of Hannah, a young girl whose passions include music and skateboarding. The game promises a blend of puzzle mechanics and atmospheric exploration that follows her journey through a world where rhythm and movement intersect with puzzle solving.

Additionally, the story includes background elements tied to the broader gaming community and industry events, including a mention of a competitive esports incident tied to Nvidia driver issues that impacted a separate team. This context serves to illustrate the challenges studios face during development and the external factors that can influence a project’s timeline.
