From the data, 14% of players say they have met their husbands or wives through games, and 8% report this happening more than once. An additional 28% already knew each other in real life and used the game to deepen their connection.
When it comes to shared gaming life, 39% of respondents place importance on a partner who shares an interest in games. In addition, 49% would like to play together with their significant other, and 26% value discussions about favorite storylines with someone special.
There is also a notable tilt toward compromise: one in ten people prefer their partner to play only their favorite titles, yet 52% of players in this survey say they are open to compromise, and 33% are prepared to look for a game they can enjoy together.
