A gaming computer sparked a fire in an apartment in Feodosia, a city along the Black Sea coast on the southeastern edge of the Crimean Peninsula. This comes from the official Telegram update posted by the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia.
The incident unfolded in a five-story building. Officials stated that the blaze originated from a computer connected to the electrical grid. An elderly woman was inside the apartment when the fire started. She detected the odor of smoke and the presence of flames, exited the residence, and immediately alerted firefighters from the Russian Ministry of Emergencies.
The rescue service reported on Telegram that the roughly 2-square-meter fire was brought under control by 13 responders across 4 teams. There were no reported injuries.
Videos and photos released by authorities show significant damage to at least one room in the apartment, with the computer showing extensive burn damage. The monitor endured complete destruction, and the system unit sustained severe damage, making recovery unlikely.
The exact cause of the gaming computer catching fire remains unknown at this time.
