Cyberia Nova Studio, the team behind the Russian action RPG titled “Smuta,” shared a fresh screenshot in its official VK group. The image depicts a dense forest, wildlife, and the game’s protagonist amid lush greenery.
In the post accompanying the image, fans asked if wildlife would appear in the game. The studio answered with the new screenshot, showcasing two deer, the lead character, and abundant vegetation.
“Troubles” is an action RPG developed by Cyberia Nova. The narrative unfolds in 17th century Russia and draws its plot from Mikhail Zagoskin’s novel “Yuri Miloslavsky, or the Russians in 1612.”
According to Cyberia Nova founder Alexey Koptsev, the game will not feature an open world. Players will be able to visit major cities such as Nizhny Novgorod, Yaroslavl, and Moscow, along with a representation of a Russian provincial forest. As of January 2023, the studio employed around 45 full-time staff, complemented by multiple outsourcing partners.
“Troubles” is planned for a PC release in early 2024 and will launch on the VK Play platform. The developers also indicated a potential future port to consoles as the project evolves.
Previously, the game appeared on Steam as a “Russian village simulator,” offering players a moonshine production premise.
