From the digital studios of Level Infinite, a Tencent-owned developer, development teams continued testing to refine a project aimed at reviving the classic franchise. Manage is introduced with a thoughtful subtitle in its new mobile-focused phase: Legions. The publisher has granted Electronic Arts a license to build a product tailored for mobile players and their preferences. This direction pushes resources toward shorter, faster sessions and streamlined controls. The goal remains to preserve the strategic heart of the series while delivering a fresh experience that still features familiar units, heroes, and elements from the original titles.
Fight in real time
Legions concentrates on both PvE (player versus environment) and PvP (player versus player) strategic battles against rival factions. Players strive to secure Tiberium, a potent resource usable for technological progress or for weakening opponents. The refreshed format promises a vast map that connects players from around the world, enabling alliances, coordinated assaults, resource sharing, and joint strategies to overcome rivals. Units can be dispatched to seize Tiberium mines, capture key locations, and gain access to critical resources. Outposts securing supply lines keep players well stocked as they gather resources, build bases, and push forward with advanced technologies to conquer cities or entire regions.
resource management
Strategy enthusiasts will find new units and a Mech Fury game mode awaiting discovery. Encouragingly, all of these experiences can be sampled through a beta available in Spain for iPhone and Android devices. In this dynamic mode, players pilot their machines and craft skill combinations to defeat enemy monsters. Reaching specific milestones unlocks rewards such as the coveted Hunter mechanic. Command & Conquer: Legions is not yet given an official release date, but plans point to a Google Play launch for Android and an App Store release for iPhone and iPad in 2024, with a broader rollout to follow in subsequent updates.
