Apple iPad Pro and iPad Air 2024: OLED Pro, M3 Chips, and New Accessories

New iPad Pro and iPad Air models are expected to debut in 2024, with a launch window aimed at the end of March or in April, according to a Power On bulletin shared by a well-known industry insider and Bloomberg correspondent. The report emphasizes that Apple is already testing a fresh version of iPadOS 17.4 specifically for the upcoming tablets, signaling that a close release date is on the horizon. The insider also suggests that Apple will roll out new accessories for both the iPad Pro and iPad Air, including updated versions of the Magic Keyboard and the third-generation Apple Pencil stylus.

MacRumors notes that a standout feature for the next iPad Pro models will be OLED displays, marking the first time Apple has used OLED panels in its tablets. Journalists anticipate that the Pro line will move to the latest generation M3 chips, which could bring notable gains in performance and power efficiency.

The iPad Air lineup is set for a major update with the addition of a 12.9-inch option, expanding the series to accommodate larger screen preferences. In tandem with the hardware enhancements, Apple is also expected to introduce a landscape-oriented front camera for the iPad, a change designed to better support video calls and multitasking use in a horizontal orientation.

Earlier reporting suggested a renewed push to integrate AirPods Pro with hearing accessory functionality, reflecting Apple’s broader efforts to streamline audio and accessibility features across its product ecosystem.
