VK has launched a nationwide ambassador program designed to spread awareness of modern technologies in schools, colleges, and other community venues. The initiative invites VK experts to guide participants on content creation and community building, equipping them with practical skills that translate into real-world projects. By joining, ambassadors gain access to mentorship, hands-on workshops, and opportunities to showcase their work across VKontakte’s ecosystem while contributing to educational outreach in their regions.

The primary objective of this initiative is to introduce the field of information technology to a broad audience across the country. Ambassadors will be involved in educational activities, lead their own pilot projects during the academic year, and deepen their knowledge of digital content creation. The program emphasizes producing compelling media, covering video production, podcasting, community management on VK, and authoring articles about topics like Zen. Participants will learn to plan content strategically, engage diverse audiences, and measure impact through practical projects and feedback loops.

“Community work, content creation, and the promotion of digital tools are among the most promising and in-demand areas for growth”, commented the program leadership. “That’s why the new season centers on these activities. VK specialists will teach youths how to leverage VK tools and services, reveal the craft of producing high-quality content, and share the essentials of growing online communities. The program offers a meaningful pathway for those who want to enter the IT field and are ready to demonstrate creativity and initiative. This enrollment marks a historic expansion of the Ambassador program, with one thousand slots available nationwide this year”, said Sergey Mardanov, Director of School and Youth Projects Development at VK.

Eligibility opens to individuals aged 16 to 35. Prospective participants should apply before the stated deadline, completing a brief set of tasks in the VKontakte mini-app. Upon successful submission, a structured training track begins in June, featuring lessons from VK specialists delivered online. By September, a finalized list of ambassadors tasked with extending IT outreach across regions is announced. The May hackathon is positioned as a culminating event where participants present the outcomes of their projects, reflecting progress, creativity, and practical impact. The program emphasizes hands-on learning, peer collaboration, and measurable community benefits that extend beyond the classroom.
