AI-backed safety measures are ready to back the Russian Championship at the Sberic Altai Facility, scheduled for February 13–16, as announced by the sponsor’s press service.

The provider explains that intelligent services operate within a single, integrated system. A computer vision layer scans activity on the slopes and coordinates with responders through radio links, with surveillance cameras serving as the sensing backbone. Cameras feeding the system cover eighty-five percent of the area, creating a dense, responsive network that can detect unusual motion, sudden stops, or deviations from expected routes. This setup allows ski patrols and support teams to act with precision and speed when every second counts.

The AI Services unit continuously monitors conditions across ski facilities to enable fast responses and timely assistance. The AI Savior module supports resorts by delivering immediate actions when incidents occur on the slopes, such as falls, collisions, or skiers veering off marked routes. The system integrates sensor data, patrol schedules, and incident protocols to guide responders toward the right location and the correct course of action, reducing confusion during high-stress moments.

On detecting an incident, the platform automatically notifies the response team and delivers essential incident data to accelerate coordinated action. Real-time alerts include location coordinates, the nature of the event, and relevant video feeds, enabling a quicker triage and dispatch of medical or rescue resources as needed. This streamlined flow helps ensure that trained personnel arrive with the right equipment and information ready at hand.

For example, a skier who remains motionless on the slope for more than ten seconds triggers a help alert, signaling a potential incident. The system treats extended stillness as a trigger to verify safety, triggering automatic checks and the participation of on-site staff to assess the situation and provide assistance if required. This reduces the risk of delayed response in critical moments when every second can matter for outcomes.

Stanislav Kuznetsov, a member of the Sberbank board, stressed that outdoor activities should feel safe for athletes, spectators, and visitors, with dependable assistance available at any moment. He underscored that reliable AI-enabled support strengthens the overall experience by offering continuous monitoring and rapid intervention when needed, especially on crowded slopes and during peak times.

He noted that AI technologies make this level of protection possible. This winter new AI solutions were deployed at Curser Resort in the Altai Mountains. Plans are in place to extend these smart safety features to summer routes for cyclists and pedestrians, Kuznetsov stated, signaling a broader ambition to protect users across seasonal activities and diverse terrains.

Kuznetsov believes such AI capabilities can bolster national development and strengthen tourism infrastructure by improving safety and guest services. The enhanced safety framework is designed to reassure visitors and encourage more people to explore ski areas and outdoor destinations with confidence, contributing to sustained tourism growth.

The provider notes that AI services can run in the cloud or be integrated with existing IT ecosystems. They are developed and patented by the unit’s AI center, reflecting a commitment to proprietary technology, data security, and continuous improvement as the system learns from real-world use and feedback from operators on the ground.

The smart tools can spot risky situations on the slopes, including speed violations or maneuvers that raise the risk of falls or injuries, helping staff intervene early and prevent accidents before they escalate. By combining predictive alerts with rapid response workflows, the platform supports safer carving, turns, and navigation for guests of all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned athletes.
