While he initially suspected a bruise, doctors conducted a nine-hour evaluation that led to a different conclusion: a blood clot had formed in one of the penile veins. Medical professionals advised a 30-day period of abstinence to safeguard healing and prevent complications.
Sharing his experience on social media, Manikis revealed that he was nearing the end of the abstinence window, with 12 days left. He admitted that his libido was intensely high and that he had moments of frustration. He also noted that regular gym workouts helped him manage sexual tension during recovery.
The actor described several unexpected benefits arising from the enforced pause. He found himself able to concentrate more on the technical aspects of his craft and to complete a surge of tasks that often accumulate during busy production schedules.
“The timing turned out to be somewhat fortuitous. I wrapped a batch of shoots just before the incident, and the downtime allowed me to focus on editing and uploading the resulting videos to various platforms,” Manikis explained.
