More than half of Russian companies expect the shortage of domestic software and IT solutions to disappear within three years. reports TASS cites a study by the Association of Directors.

“55% of company executives surveyed by the association are optimistic and believe that the shortage of Russian software and IT solutions will disappear in three years or a little more; 10% believe that successful import substitution will occur within two years,” the study said.

Among the implemented IT solutions, business process automation systems, digital ecosystems and artificial intelligence technologies are the most popular. At the same time, 40% of organizations reported difficulties in migrating to local developments.

The lack of full-fledged internal analogues of foreign IT solutions, the high cost of domestic IT products and the incompatibility of domestic AI solutions with installed equipment are called the main problems and difficulties of digital transition.

The research was conducted among top managers of 150 Russian companies operating in the fields of IT, media, telecommunications, industry, professional services, commercial banks, financial sector, investment and insurance, pharmaceuticals and medicine, construction and development, transport and logistics, retail and consumer goods, trade and consumer services.
