WhatsApp developers have added the feature to send high-quality videos to a version of the messaging app. In this respect reports WABetaInfo portal.
The innovation was noticed in the beta version of WhatsApp for Android under number 2.24.7.17. After the update, some users now have the “Media download quality” setting in the “Data & storage” section in messaging settings.
With its help you can choose standard and HD quality. In the first case, the video size is greatly compressed, so less traffic is consumed when sending, and the file itself reaches the recipient faster. However, the video quality will be worse than the original. If you choose HD quality, the file size will increase up to 6 times and it will take longer to send.
It is stated that if you choose HD quality, the video will still be compressed and the original quality will not be preserved. If you want to preserve the original appearance of the video, you must send it as a document. The new feature is currently only available to a limited number of test users. It is not known when the innovation will be available to all WhatsApp users.
