Microsoft has updated its proprietary Edge browser by adding a built-in AI-based display enhancer. In this respect reports Windows Latest portal.

AI image upscaling allows you to improve image quality directly in the browser. This option can be accessed from the context menu and activated by double-clicking the Ctrl key.

Additionally, the test version of Edge Canary introduced additional AI-powered tools aimed at optimizing the user interface.

One of the most important innovations is the expansion of the functionality of the Copilot assistant, which can now process queries of up to 18 thousand characters in the “Notes” mode. The second test feature is an update to the Microsoft Designer image editor, which now opens in a separate tab for more convenient work with graphics.

The built-in image enhancement service is already available to some users with stable builds of Edge. It is unknown when Canary’s testing functions will be available in stable versions of the browser.

Previously Microsoft clarified Conditions for blocking access to its services for Russians.
