Apple introduced the iPhone 14 Pro with a 48-megapixel camera in 2022. Although the new devices are set to shoot 12MP by default, users can manually change the settings to take photos at a maximum resolution of 48MP. reports Telegram channel iGuides.

To enable high-resolution capture on the basic iPhone 15, you need to go to “Settings” – “Camera” and select the “Formats” option, where you need to enable the “Manage Resolution” option.

On iPhone 14 Pro and 15 Pro models including Max, users must enable ProRAW and Resolution Control. After that, in the “Default (Professional Shooting)” menu you must select the ProRAW or HEIF Max format for shooting at resolutions up to 48 megapixels.

Once configured, you need to make sure that the HEIF MAX or RAW MAX icon is displayed in the corner of the screen when you open the camera app. Pictures should be taken in 1x mode, as using other modes will automatically switch to standard 12MP resolution.
