Along with the release of a major update for the Galaxy S24 series, Samsung has released a list of previous-generation devices that will receive the Instant Slow Motion feature, which is part of the Galaxy AI platform. In this respect reports Published by GizmoChina.

Instant Slow Motion allows you to turn any video into slow motion using the power of artificial intelligence (AI). This option first appeared on Galaxy S24 series smartphones in 2024, but later a few older devices will also receive support.

The list of these devices includes last year’s Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 smartphones, as well as the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, Galaxy Tab S9 Plus and Galaxy Tab S9 tablets.

Additionally, the company said that the feature will be compatible with more video types. It is currently limited to 8-bit videos with resolutions ranging from 720p to 8K. Additionally, only the .mp4 file format is currently supported. However, this feature will soon be compatible not only with 10-bit videos, but also with 480p resolution and .mov extension.

Samsung says this feature only works on devices equipped with at least a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor or a newer flagship chip. Therefore, you should not expect it to appear on older smartphones and tablets other than those in the list above.

The Instant Slow Motion feature is expected to come to the above-mentioned devices with the One UI 6.1 update. The company had previously announced that the device would be released at the end of the first half of 2024.

Previously in Russia started Samsung Galaxy S24 sales.
