Apple has released an update to the VisionOS operating system for its Vision Pro augmented reality headset ahead of the device’s launch. In this respect reports MacRumors post citing VisionOS developer Nicholas Alvarez.
The new firmware received code 1.0.1. According to Alvarez, this is the first software update for Vision Pro. The developer believes that Apple will likely unveil a larger update at WWDC in June 2024 in the form of VisionOS 2.0 with new features.
Exactly how VisionOS 1.0.1 differs from VisionOS 1.0 is not reported. However, it is known that VisionOS 1.0.1 version can be downloaded to all Vision Pro users immediately after activating the device.
Vision Pro is Apple’s mixed reality headset introduced in 2023. Pre-orders for the device will open on January 19, 2024, and retail sales will start on February 2. Delivery of the headphones to customers is expected in mid-March 2024.
