American technology company IBM and Spanish football club Sevilla have agreed on a partnership that will give the sports organization access to the artificial intelligence (AI)-powered Scout Adviser tool. This situation was officially reported Web site IBM.

Scout Adviser is based on the IBM Watsonx AI platform and is designed to automatically search for new team players. The neural network uses computational models to analyze information in databases to evaluate potential hires.

The data includes each athlete’s height, weight, running speed, goals scored and minutes played, as well as analysis of more than 200,000 matchmaking reports.

IBM stated that Scout Adviser processes clues about the key characteristics of sought-after football players and then creates candidate lists based on the specified requirements.

Sevilla FC continues to lead the UEFA Europa League football tournament in terms of wins, having won it six times in 2006, 2007, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2020. The team also won the UEFA Super Cup in 2006.

Previously at IBM warned about the threat quantum computers pose to digital security.
