According to Oleg Gorokhovsky, co-owner of Monobank, the company’s network infrastructure was subjected to a powerful DDoS attack. The relevant publication was published on the Telegram channel.

Before that, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine reportedIt was stated that approximately 2 million people in the country lost electricity due to the malfunction in the system.

On the afternoon of May 30, an emergency occurred at the power system operator, causing immediate outages.

Failures were observed in Kiev and some regions of Ukraine: Vinnitsa, Dnepropetrovsk, Kiev, Kirovograd, Nikolaev.

Additionally, residents of Odessa, Poltava, Kharkov, Khmelnytsky and Cherkasy regions, as well as the Kiev-controlled part of the Zaporozhye region, were left without electricity.

The Ministry of Energy added that this failure was the biggest failure since February 2023.
