A neural network that can identify owners of anonymous Telegram channels has been created in Russia. The newspaper writes that this artificial intelligence (AI), called “Comrade Major”, has undergone internal testing at the developer company T.Hunter. “News”With reference to the press service of the National Technology Initiative (NTI).

The neural network can find the necessary information in message threads, embedded chat, sticker packs, documents and videos uploaded to the channel. The new program does what an expert would do: analyzes data leaks, matches them with the user’s name or photo. The developers also said it does this faster and better than a human.
On request, the AI bot displays information regarding mobile phones associated with the user’s profile, address, and other digital traces that may be present in the analyzed content. The company also said its neural network also analyzes other identifiers and also pulls data from communities on social networks, blogs and websites.
According to Bederov, the artificial intelligence is based on one of the most widespread text neural networks, running on T.Hunter servers. To use this, a Telegram bot was written to simplify interaction with the software, he said.

The company also reported that the full version of the program is planned to be released for 2024-2025. The developers stated that the application is intended for public or private organizations investigating cybercrimes related to anonymous Telegram communities.
