Sberbank and the Central Research Organization of the Federal State Budgetary Institution and the Institute for Healthcare Information (TsNIIOIZ) of the Russian Ministry of Health have agreed to jointly work on a digital service for the elderly, Sber’s press service reported.
At the “Russia” exhibition forum, the relevant agreement was signed by Sergei Zhdanov, director of the Sberbank Health Industry Center, and Olga Kobyakova, director of the Federal State Budgetary Institution TsNIIOIZ of the Ministry of Health of Russia.
An intelligent companion using artificial intelligence and extensive language models will not only help retirees with socialization and communication, but also provide medical and psychological support.
“Modern devices for older people can be complex, and they do not use them. Therefore, together with our colleagues, we plan to develop a simple and convenient digital assistant that can talk, remind to take medications, and also give advice on medical issues,” said Sergey Zhdanov.
The parties will also cooperate in conducting a comprehensive analysis of regional health systems and preparing proposals for their transformation.
“This development aims to improve not only the life expectancy but also the quality of life of the elderly, which is very important. We are also developing other joint projects together with Sber. And my deep belief is that the healthcare system will change significantly in the coming years under the influence of modern digital tools,” noted Olga Kobyakova.
