Valery Fadeev, chairman of the Human Rights Council of the President of the Russian Federation (HRC), at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, proposed the creation of an institute to monitor the work of Google and other companies to ensure the information security of users. , reports RIA News.

“International control over the activities of IT giants (including Google) needs to be organized, algorithms and criteria must be open, discussed and approved by international institutions,” Fadeev said.

He added that an institution must be established before this, but this will not be easy and will lead to serious resistance. He is sure that representatives of such companies will insist that the state cannot interfere with the work of private companies. To refute this thesis, Fadeev gave the example of the civil aviation industry, where there are many private companies, but they all comply with international rules.
