Video games and related products and services are the most desired Christmas gifts among children and teens in the United States, according to a study conducted by the Computer and Software Association of America (ESA). The most desired gift was a subscription, the portal reported Game Industry.
It was noted that more than a thousand children and young people between the ages of 10-17 participated in the survey. 72% of them want to receive such gifts; The biggest demand is for digital subscriptions to gaming services (39%) and consoles (38%). Only 22% of those surveyed wanted physical copies of games for Christmas.
At the same time, video games are also attracting the attention of adults who plan to buy video-related gifts for Christmas, according to the survey. Thus, out of more than 500 respondents, 57% of adult respondents said they would take advantage of such an opportunity, and 33% said they would give video games as a gift.
Additionally, gaming-related gifts were the most popular gifts among parents, following money, gift cards, technology and electronic products, and books.
