Russian technology company Rostelecom will soon hold the Rostelecom Technology Day conference, where it will announce Aurora 5.0, a new version of its native operating system (OS) for smartphones. In this respect reports publication Rossiyskaya Gazeta (RG) cites Rostelecom Deputy Chairman Kirill Menshov.

“We can now officially announce – we will present Aurora 5.0 on December 8 at Rostelecom Technology Day,” Menshov said.

According to him, in Aurora 5.0 the developers met people halfway who are accustomed to using iOS and Android. This means radically redesigning the interface and making it more pleasant.

“If you take an AOSP device and compare it with Aurora 5, it is difficult to find any feature that Aurora does not have,” a Rostelecom representative said.

The first version of Aurora was presented in 2016. As Menshov explains, he just “was.” Since then, the company has been actively improving the operating system both in terms of compatibility with hardware and functionality.

Rostelecom Technology Day will be held on December 8 in Moscow on the Digital Business Space site.

Previously Sber presented Artificial intelligence models that can recognize Russian sign language.
