Microsoft allowed Windows to run on iPhone and iPad

At Ignite 2023, Microsoft introduced a new Windows App for connecting to virtual desktops from iPhone, iPad, MacBook and other Windows computers. In this respect reports GizChin publication.

Windows App provides remote access to the Windows 365 environment, Azure Virtual Desktop, Microsoft Dev Box utilities, or a regular personal desktop. The app is available on iOS, macOS and Windows. A web version of the service is also provided. An Android client is under development and will be available later.

The preview version of the Windows App is ready to download on PC from Microsoft Store. On Apple devices, the utility can currently only be launched in TestFlight mode.

Microsoft Ignite is an annual conference for developers and IT professionals. In 2023, it will take place in Seattle between November 14-17. Microsoft Ignite has been held since 1993. Originally the event was called Tech Ed. As part of the event, Microsoft usually introduces new software products.
