At the capital’s Sheremetyevo airport, the ENO-SD radar system was put into operation to detect and protect against unmanned aerial vehicles. In this respect reports TASS quotes materials from Sheremetyevo.

“ENOT-SD” is a software and hardware complex (SHC) for automatic detection of low-flying targets, including small UAVs, their visual verification and subsequent suppression. The purpose of establishing PAK is to ensure a high level of security for legitimate flights in Sheremetyevo.

“Radiation from the radar station for detecting and determining the coordinates of moving targets will not have an undesirable interference effect on the operation of ground-based radio equipment for flight support and aviation telecommunications located in the Sheremetyevo airport area.” TASS quotes the company.

RENOT-SD works with a software platform from Kaspersky Lab with built-in artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence makes it possible to visually record drones as well as identify and classify them. An additional advantage of Kaspersky Lab software is that it detects even UAVs moving in radio silent mode.
