Popular indie video game’Vampire Survivors‘Continues to receive new content for free through updates. The next feature announced by developer Poncle will be called “story mode”.adventures” and adds to the formula a series of parallel missions to the more traditional game format. The version with quests corresponds to v1.8.0 and is “Deeplorable Update”. Although no exact date has been set yet, it will be released worldwide “within a few weeks” on all platforms where it is available (PC (via Steam), Xbox, Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android).

Vampire Story Mode

As the studio itself envisions, “Adventures” will feature a format of “autonomous and miniature story modes” that function as secondary missions. Each will have a unique progression path accompanied by a limited number of characters and items. That is, each adventure will be divided into short chapters with a certain configuration (items, characters) and certain victory conditions (survive a certain time, kill a certain number of enemies).

It is worth noting that progress in the main game will not carry over to “Adventures” as they are presented as an opportunity to start fresh with unique challenges. So your history will not be taken into account here and the only progress that will be carried over from the main game will be Ruins and different modes such as Hyper and Inverse.

In any case, you will need to release the relic first to activate the stages Atlas Gate in traditional format. According to Poncle, missions will be divided into sections with well-defined objectives and will include add-ons to the base game. In this version, local co-op will be enabled, but do not expect new achievements in missions. The update itself will be free, but some missions will be integrated into the format as expansions of content already released through paid packages; for example “Legacy of lunar magic”.

Four vampire hunters

‘Vampire Survivors’ currently has an up to four-player mode for PC and Xbox, and is being distributed alongside the Nintendo Switch version. However, server maintenance issues and excessive latency restrict this functionality, which has so far failed to deliver the expected experience. The game’s creator, Luca Galante, does not make any promises when asked about online multiplayer, but does not rule out the possibility and states that it is under analysis. “Yes, we are looking for a good online collaboration mode, but we can’t make any promises right now because it would be too big a commitment,” he explains.
