Apple has released an updated line of computers powered by M3 processors, including the MacBook Pro and iMac. writes about this RIA News.
According to the company’s online presentation, the main changes are focused on processors. The M2 series was replaced by the more powerful, efficient and productive M3 chips. Three chip models were offered: M3, M3 Pro and M3 Max.
According to Apple, the new MacBook Pro with the M3 chip will be 40% faster than the M2 and 60% faster than the M1 chip.
As Apple representatives explained, the new MacBook Pro can work up to 22 hours without recharging.
14-inch MacBook Pro models will be available starting next week, starting at $1,599. Laptops with 16-inch screens and more advanced chips will start at $2,499 and be available to customers in late November.
Additionally, Apple updated its iMac desktops for the first time since 2021. The new 24-inch iMacs also feature M3 chips, which promise twice the performance of the M1 chips. These new desktops will start at $1,299 in the US.
Unlike most previous Apple presentations, this event was not only held at 17:00 in the evening in California (03:00 Moscow time), but was also held entirely online, which did not allow journalists to evaluate the new products in person.
