Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will fly to Silicon Valley (California, USA) on September 18 to meet with billionaire Elon Musk and discuss with him the problem of growing anti-Semitic sentiments on the social network X (Twitter). In this respect reports The Washington Post (WP) edition.
WP writes that American human rights organizations accused Musk of inciting hatred on the social network by “pardoning” various users who were previously blocked for anti-Semitic statements. A striking example of such an “amnesty” is the unblocking of white supremacist Nick Fuentes, whom Twitter banned in July 2021.
According to WP, Netanyahu needs to help Musk in some way in addressing mounting criticism of X for inciting anti-Semitism. Details of the future meeting were not disclosed.
The publication reports that the meeting between Netanyahu and Musk was facilitated by various “Jewish business leaders” in Silicon Valley. In particular, Joe Lonsdale, founder of the IT company Palantir, took part in its preparation.
Previously Elon Musk ignored Questions from a British journalist about Ukraine and Putin.
