Speaking on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), Stanislav Kuznetsov, deputy chairman of the bank’s board of directors, said that Sberbank has decided to develop a product to protect its customers from fraudsters operating through messengers, and this product will be released in the coming weeks.

Kuznetsov added that fraudsters have learned to send “pseudo-messages” in instant messengers for simple reasons and often vote for participants in contests. Moreover, if you follow the instructions, a malicious virus will be downloaded to the gadget and all the information in it will be pumped to scammers. Scammers use this information in various ways, most often to blackmail.

“This type of fraud is unfortunately flourishing now,” Kuznetsov said.

The VIII Eastern Economic Forum will be held on September 10-13 in Vladivostok on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU).

Kuznetsov had previously joined Sberbank at the end of September. plans The system will work on the basis of artificial intelligence to spread a new method throughout the country that will protect customers from the influence of telephone fraudsters.
