Kirill Lata, director of international development of the Future Games project, said at the first Russia-China international forum that Russia and China will jointly develop e-sports in their countries.
“Talks are being held at different levels with Chinese partners about the Future Games and phygital sports, and now we see China showing unconditional interest in both the phygital concept and the Future Games project,” he said.
Lata also expressed confidence that the interaction between Russia and China for the development of physical sports will further strengthen.
According to the director of the office of the Asia-Pacific Sports Federation Secretariat of the World Sports Federation, Wushu, vice president of the International Martial Arts World Association, champion coach Zhang Tao, e-sports is to some extent in events attended by nearly half a billion people in China.
“The Games of the Future format developed in Russia is amazing. It is truly groundbreaking! “I believe that we can prove to everyone that a format that combines physical and virtual sports is a positive source of creative energy for the whole world,” he said.
The international forum “Sprouts: Russia and China – mutually beneficial cooperation” was held at Kazan Expo IEC from 7 to 8 September. At the meeting, Russian regions and Chinese provinces discussed current issues on the development of cooperation.
