Apple currently plans to stop production of new copies of the iPhone 13 Mini, the newest model in this series. In this respect reports The MacRumors publication cites well-known insider and Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman.

According to Gurman, delivery times for newly purchased iPhone 13 Minis at most American Apple Stores are now 2-3 weeks. In some cases the time window extends to 6-8 weeks.

Gurman attributes the emerging smartphone shortage to a sharp decline in production volumes, which he also sees as a signal that production of the model will soon be completely stopped. Insiders believe that the complete discontinuation of the iPhone 13 Mini could be announced after the iPhone 15 presentation on September 12.

MacRumors does not rule out that Apple will shut down the iPhone Mini series. This is primarily indicated by the fact that with the release of the iPhone 14 series, Cupertino started producing Plus models. The second fact is that there are no rumors about the new version of the iPhone Mini.

Apple probably decided to shut down the Mini series due to low demand. According to MacRumors, the iPhone 13 Mini accounted for no more than 3% of sales of the entire iPhone 13 series.

Former journalists clarified Full parameters of iPhone 15.
