Internet users have discovered an unusual bug in Windows 11 that speeds up the computer in File Explorer. In this respect informs Neowin portal.
To exploit this bug, simply press F11 twice to enter and exit fullscreen mode in Explorer. This trick allows you to avoid the lag when opening folders with a large number of files or subfolders. It also improves the performance of the search function for the contents of a folder.
“I have tested [ошибку] In a music folder with 1800+ subfolders and 25000+ files: everything opens instantly, great. Windows 7 Explorer had such performance,” wrote a Reddit forum user nicknamed err404t.
Netizens were outraged by this and expressed the opinion that such speed of the system should be “outside the box” without resorting to any tricks.
The bug is stated to be present in all current versions of Windows 11, including stable version 21H2. Microsoft representatives have not yet spoken about the causes of this phenomenon and whether it will be fixed in future updates.
