WhatsApp introduces a new feature to improve call privacy. According to the portal specializing in the analysis of updates in Messenger WABetaInfoThanks to this, users will be able to hide their IP addresses while searching.

It is stated that hiding your IP address will make it difficult to detect the true location of the caller. To do this, the calls will go through the WhatsApp servers, which may degrade the communication quality somewhat. You can check the availability of the function in the messaging settings in the “Privacy” – “Calls” section.

Additionally, WhatsApp protects against eavesdropping on calls and messages using end-to-end encryption. According to Messenger’s developers, this helps prevent messages, photos, videos, voicemails, documents, statuses and user calls from falling into the wrong hands.

The novelty was discovered in the beta version of WhatsApp for Android with the number 2.23.18.15. The timing of the launch of the app for users with stable builds on Android, iOS and Windows has not yet been announced.
