If the social network refuses to add users to the blacklist, App X (formerly Twitter) may be removed from the App Store and Google Play for violating the rules. In this respect informs Portal Rozected.

Earlier, Elon Musk talked about plans to remove the blacklist function that would allow users to block other people. However, this may violate the rules of the Android and iOS app stores, which require the blocking system and inappropriate content and complaints about users.

While the rules of Apple and Google stores say that app moderators should have such functionality, there is no mention of similar opportunities for users themselves.

Following the social network’s acquisition by Elon Musk, there were massive layoffs to the service, including multiple moderators and representatives of the PR service, which could also affect the social networking app’s disappearance from stores.

According to Musk, users won’t be able to completely block other people on X anytime soon. Instead, access to private messages will be restricted, and the user’s profile will be visible to blocked people. When exactly the function will disappear from the social network, the head of X did not specify. He also noted that the blacklist makes no sense.

Previously recognizedConfirmation of profile according to passport will appear in X.
