Forbes noted that this is one of the most expensive rental villas in Palm Jumeirah. The entrepreneur’s representative told the magazine that Durov, who moved to Dubai in 2017, lives in different parts of the city.
According to him, the businessman chose to rent property next to Telegram’s main office in the Dubai Media City free economic zone. Durov declined to comment on the Forbes message about the move to Palm Jumeirah.
Palm Jumeirah is an artificial archipelago consisting of interconnected islands in the form of palm trees. Durov was born in Russia but left the country in 2014 and has been living in the UAE ever since. The billionaire holds the citizenship of Saint Kitts and Nevis, France and the United Arab Emirates, as well as a Russian passport.
