By 2035, the fifth generation of 5G mobile communications will be available in all cities of Russia with a population of 100,000 or more, and by this time commercial operation of 6G networks should also begin. This is stated in the draft strategy for the development of the communications industry by 2035. TASS.
The document states that such plans are included in the second phase of the implementation of the 2031-2035 strategy. The deployment of 5G will be carried out on native equipment and with the possibility of creating private network segments for secure and reliable interaction between critical infrastructure objects and security services.
The plans also include socially significant facilities with a connection speed of at least 1 Gbps, as well as connecting to the Internet using fixed networks for 98% of households.
The document emphasizes that the LTE standard and previous generation equipment should be completely replaced by domestic telecommunications equipment by 2035.
