Sony has patented the DualSense haptic feedback technology, thanks to which the controller can simulate the temperature depending on what is happening in the game. In this respect informs DTF Portal.
The discovered patent describes a new material for DulaSense controllers that should replace plastic with deformable elastic sensors and a gel-like substance. This will improve the quality of haptic feedback and simulate temperature based on gameplay.
For example, if there is a hot object in the game, the controller may feel warmer. In addition, the vibration will be better transmitted through an elastic material. However, Sony plans to use the power of artificial intelligence to more accurately monitor the level of deformation.
It is unknown whether the idea will come true. However, the existence of the patent shows that Sony has no intention of stopping after the release of the DualSense gamepad with adaptive triggers and is ready to offer more opportunities for haptic feedback to the controller.
