By 2030, smartphones will be fully charged in 15 minutes. In an interview with the agency, “hit the primer” said Alexander Sivolobov, head of the Skoltech-based NTI Wireless Communications and Internet of Things Competence Center.
According to Sivolobov, wireless charging stations will be installed in all public places such as cafes, bus stops and taxis so that a person can charge their smartphone outside the home.
“Even 15 minutes for charging is enough, so perhaps the smartphones of city dwellers will become thinner and thinner,” said the expert.
In addition, Sivolobov added that in the future, the speed of mobile communication will increase by 4.5 times – up to 100 megabits per second and higher, which will allow users to become “an active part of the digital ecosystem.”
The expert also predicted the rapid development of telemedicine technologies – according to him, in 10 years smartphones will receive a large number of sensors and sensors that can monitor human vital signs, including temperature and blood sugar levels.
