Last night the second episode of the second season “One of US” was released on the HBO Max. The new chapter tells about the attack of infected on Abby and her meeting with Joel. Immediately after the premiere had released a video in which it compared the recordings of the series and the game. Note, further spoilers!
Journalists showed, among other things, the main scene of the season – the murder of Joel. The most important point has undergone a number of changes: The authors of the show have reinvented various details, including the last blow that Ebbi is inflicted.
Many fans did not like the processed scene. In the reactions to the IGN video, viewers notice that the moment looked stronger in the original game – thanks to a gloomy atmosphere, operator work and production. At the same time, the episode itself turned out to be excellent – the IMDB rating was 9.4 points.
The video game did better, although it was much shorter. The dark oppressive cellar was a more frightening place to kill compared to a well -lit and spacious zone in the show. The game has a good sense of direction when Ellie threatens to kill them while they are all immersed in their own conversations, completely ignoring it when the sound starts to disappear. The show does nothing just as inventive. It’s pretty simple.
To be honest, the game did much better. Abby from the series does not look threatening at all.
The video game is much better. The last golf club is just brutal.
It seems to me that the makers of the television show forgot the operator to hire the operator.
Remember that the second season of “One of US” consists of seven episodes and probably only deals with the first half of the second part of the game.
